TRESIKLO

This is from a new project. Another attempt to Horrify (lol!). Plan is to submit the whole thing to this Company and Godwilling they print my story for their November issue. This artwork might give you a hint of the concept. From the title itself I think you could guess. I know, it might sound like a Bong Revilla movie, but lets just put it this way...I find that it has this cool catch to it...hehehe. I'm thinking that it is a combination of Tricycle, obviously the main thing in the story, and Tiklo which means "Nahuli" or "Na-Tiklo". Put it together and it should mean something....I guess. Wala!!! I'm just making that up...It sound cool, yun lng!

About Heneral Sinag, I was again delayed...yup, not by Ondoy this time but by Marriage. Huwag kayong magalala mapi-print din yan. Balak kong isabay yung isa ko pang project, yung Kubli. Words na lng ang kulang at kumpleto na ang kwento ng dalawang Komiks.

By September, my wife will be 3 months away going to Houston. That hopefully, leaves me alone in my new house (well, 2nd hand sya...). I'm using this time to finish all the unfinished personal stuff including those two comic book projects I'm doing. This will also include printing, kung may pera pa sana ako, coz by this time I'll be also renovating the house and buying new furniture...teka parang mabu-busy na naman ako ah!!! Bahala na si Batman.

Hit Squad Colored Page Preview

I really got excited when my friend Tony emailed me a colored sample of this page from the Hit Squad gig. I guess the rest is still on the works so I have to wait for the rest of the colored pages. Now I wish I could have done the cover also, DAMN! Just glad to be back on board for future gigs.

PANATA takes a temporal backseat.

For all those who are wondering...Tuloy paba yang SINAG na yan? Kumusta na kaya ang proyektong ito? Bakit wala man lang update sa blog na to? Buhay paba yung creator nyan? lol

Sa totoo lng, napakahirap maghanap ng oras para gumawa ng isang Komiks lalo na kung marami ka pang ibang nais gawin o dapat na gawin bukod dito. Una, hindi ito bayad. Para sa isang Artist na kumakayod ang bawat oras at bawat minuto ay mahalaga. Halos araw araw at gabi gabi mayroong mga bagay na mas priority bukod sa mga personal na projects na tulad nito. Yun bang mga projects na may nagbabayad...hehehe. Love lng naman talaga ang fuel para sa mga ganitong projects. Hindi ako fulltime na Comics artist at meron din naman akong Lovelife kaya meron akong excuse na isang-tabi ang PANATA kung gugustuhin ko.

Pero hindi ito ang dahilan. Sa ibaba makikita mo na meron akong isa pang ginagawang personal na project. Hindi ito konektado sa PANATA o kay Heneral SINAG. Isa itong istorya na matagal ko nang naisip gawin at siguro habang may sipag pa ako at tiyaga na gumawa ng mga ganitong klaseng mga pagkakaabalahan ay isiningit ko na ito. Ayoko magbigay ng ditalye dito sa Blog na ito sa dahilang ang space na ito ay para sa PANATA. Ang masasabi ko lamang eh mayroon na itong 50 pages at present at balak ko muna itong tapusin bago ko balikan ang PANATA. Siguro mga 50 pages pa ulit bago ito matapos...hehehe. Sa mga naghihintay ng paglipad ng SINAG, siguro kaunting pasensya pa. Nakakabato kasing mag concentrate sa isang project eh, hindi ako napapakali. KUBLI nga pala ang title niyang sa baba. Yun po muna.

The REAL Hero!!!

Dumating na yung kuha nung mga ginawa kong designs for a pinoy client sa states. Sa Sunday na din pala ang laban ni Pacman (Pinoy Time syempre) at excited nko para dito. Cotto has been saying some shit already about how he would beat our Pambansang Kamao. Bilib din ako kay Manny dahil humble lang siya at dinadaan na lng sa training yung yabang. I know he would win this one. Dapat lang maniwala tayo na mananalo siya. Dedicated kaya ang labang ito para sa lahat ng nasalanta, eh isa ako dun kaya salamat kay Pacman para dito. Mananalo Tayo!!! Kung hindi man, malay natin dayain, wala akong pakialam, isa si Manny sa aking mga REAL life superheroes kaya Go Pac Man...talunin mo si Kutto!!!

Let Me Explain

Haven't done new pages lately. Since Ondoy I have been very busy picking up doing delayed artworks for other projects, and I do have many infact to worry about every week. One of these is a comic book in due release for next years San Diego Comic Con. Not a very lucrative deal though but as a start it would be a nice thing to be doing for me just for the experience of this whole comic book mess I'm in right now. Due to this my attention is now converted in the comissioned comic book. I'd really hate to sacrifice PANATA but for the mere fact that it would literally make me a very busy man, in which I am very much already, I would just like to free up some load to concentrate my comicbook time on this project. You have seen how I drew PANATA in this blog, it really requires some time and having to do the two together would really make my schedule a living hell and would even affect some other non comic related commitments.

I'm thinking of continuing PANATA maybe on December and I just hope I finish the book already and write the second. Lots of plans really and I'm just thinking of even self-printing the whole thing. I'd really hate that printing topic. I would also like to consider doing it on CD, who knows?

At last Pages 25 to 26(spread) and Page 27

After Ondoy my schedule was way way off. I was emailing clients anticipating many artwork delays due to the storm. I also emailed my office trying to secure a 1 week leave of absence. Well, I'm giving myself just 1 whole week to clean all the mess Ondoy gave us. Isa pa, Mom was returning from Canada on Tuesday night so i guess the Commander in Chief will be a great addition to the effort so 1 week is just about right for the job.

Fastforward...Electricity got jumpstarted one week after the great flood. It was on a Sunday I think. I was really excited to work.(...now did I wrote that down right?) I quickly assembled the PC and charged my laptop in preparation for a gruelling week ahead. At this time I was only missing pages 25 to 27. I was laid off 1 week from PANATA...hmm...I tried doing pencils for the spread on Tuesday night while waiting for Mom to arrive. I was aided with battery charged light (yun bang motolite battery...hehe). I was alone so what the heck.

Page 27 I did just lately, while watching Ateneo and UE for the Championship. I was in the office...yes you heard that right, at the office doing the last page. We we're excused to do stuff while half of the PCs are dead due to electricity problems. I carry my comics specially for these times. I don't know if my artwork reflected UE's loss but I enjoyed watching the game. Nice one ATENEO, UST will get back at you next year. Onwards to Chapter 2 now.
